All services offered at a glance

The Campus Library offers an inventory of more than 30,000 monographs as well as numerous magazines in printed and electronic form. The library provides approximately 60 work stations and an area for reading magazines. The entire library is WLAN equipped. Copying is available in the entrance area.

Lending of books

The library allows a lending period of 4 weeks to personnel of the participating institutions. To register you need your UdS-Card and a printed and signed application form titeled "4 Wochen Ausleihe" (4 weeks borrowing period) Registered personnel have a 24 hour access to the library.

Upon registering for their thesis, graduands and students of a Masters Program may apply for a 4-week-lending-eligibility. Please contact the information counter.

Students and employees of the Universität des Saarlandes may borrow media for 14 days. To register please fill out the application form for "students and externals" (14 days borrowing). We also need you UdS-Card for registration.

The library is open to the public during regular library hours.

Textbook collection

Books from the textbook collection which are mainly funded by tuition fees are separately displayed and located across from the supervisor's/issues desk. They may be borrowed by students for a 2 week period. Each book of this entire collection is marked with a green dot.

Our specialized staff will gladly assist with external database research. In addition you can access a multitude of electronic services at our webpage "Further informations". We offer a personal advisory service in obtaining a general overview including the basics of research in various existing systems. Literature for lectures

We consistently provide an updated overview of literature relevant to lectures as well as the links for the corresponding events. Literature is acquired in multiple numbers. A reference copy is available at all times in the library. It is situated separately in a course reserve collection. Associate Professors may mail their list or revised list for literature at any time. ( Get email address via email ).
